after the huge succes of its tenth release (davide squillace & guti), hideout is back with with the third slice of the deconstruction revisited series. this time, crocodile tears, which appeared on davide squillaces tutti frutti ep (ho003) got offered three amazing relectures. it all starts with mr robert dietz (cadenza, cecille ...), who delivers a super modern and energetic relecture, where intelligent synthetic percussions mess around with weird noises and processed effects. after two minutes a monophonic synths starts its battle with vocals from squillaces original to end up on a more minimal groove. gflame aka portugese techno start cisco ferreiras (the advent) relecture directly sets the tone: a nasty bassline with a crazy synth stab flies over a soft but very heavy techno beat, to evolve to an elegant tech house track (no bongos involved). finally sis, the man behind cocolino imprint, reinterpretation starts with a long intro with the kick dropping after more than 3 minutes. the melancholic feeling of the track builds into a very subtile beat with reverbered elements all over. the percussion layers and delicate melodic synths add some organic flavour to the music so the 14 minutes remix is never boring and takes you to a nice journey thru sounds. you can tell somebody was in love when making such a beautiful song. another must have from hideout!

william anthony bois was born in stockholm, sweden, in 1991. he expressed an early interest in music, especially electronic music. whilst william demonstrated a natural tallent for piano composition from an early age, in 2003 he began channeling his creativity into house music after a friend introduced him to fruity loops. early street dancing lessons introduced him to funk which has been a source of inspiration ever since the age of nine. he continued the dancing with the dance group funky 4 brothers and has performed around europe and sweden. william also studied music production and sound engineering at sixth form college. this background has given him a firm foundation from which to express his music through a variety of rhythms and tone that give his music an individual flavour.

stefan schutz aka juno6 belongs to the society of the leipzig new school, which for the last 5 years has cut a path through emotions and change in diverse regions. his particular real estate is comfortably between deeper house and thoroughly scrutinized techno. sometimes he tends in one direction, at other times the opposite. all the while juno6 captivates both listeners and dancers alike with something new. his live sets are always an occasion – sound expeditions in the most literal sense embedded powerfully, yet imminently fresh as they are bound to tradition. he even dials up the the ambient/electronic field with project beautiful planet earth, or together with friend daniel stefanik as sensual. the sonic awareness of juno6 is expressed consistently as a potent degree of warmth, which paints a distinct lively and long-lasting tone on club music. the tone is hardly useful as a flavor of the month, but rather, a music with stamina and character. his track >guununk< is for more than a few the quiescent highlight of the fat 5zig compilation. on his second from fat, he displays the juno6 portfolio fully and expands his present effect with a portion of funkiness and a sprinkle of pop – at least on one of the cuts. with clever vocals mr. schulz informs us yet again.

coming off the heels of the kitano ep, we decided to keep things right in the bustling metropolis of deepness known as melbourne, australia for our next undertones release. after successful outings on both 3rd strike and dirt crew, it just made perfect sense for us to join musical forces with the tortoise. tortoise laces us with two vocally charged joints that set the tone just right. we couldn t think of a better way to put our spin on this release than to feature the extremely talented duo known as genius of time on not one but two remixes .. one for each track! it s definitely a first for us and we couldn t be anymore pleased with how everything shook out.

tommy walker 3 has been hiding for a while now, after releasing a slew of material in 2008 (including a release on the sadly defunct dissident). now hes back with >dance music clubbing<, and with a name like this youd probably expect this ep to either be a bit off the wall, or unintentionally awful. we are glad to say it fits into the former category, offering an ep of colourful elastic space disco mixed with a more classic vibe. opener >disconnected< sets the tone with its 80s, verging on hair metal guitar riffs. >mwj1< impresses with its almost seinfeld-esque slap bass, and synth piano stabs while >errational< is characterised by its wonky synth melody and spaced-out laser gurgles. finally >v brains< melds driving live bass with huge slabs of cosmic squelch. if you like your disco fierce, this will definitely be worth a look

we present you the newly born imprint outernational recordings. the kick off for this unique vinyl series is by basque county native kastil who sets the right tone with three wonderful disco edits at a mid-tempo / slomo pace. since uploading these tracks to his soundcloud page, the feedback has been enormous. side a contains the long, slow and loopy back to philadelphia, where kastil cleverly plays with the vocals and delay and creates a highly tense build up. theres no doubt that some large players in the very popular disco edit culture will play this one out. on the b1 side you find the track smd. a track which received great feedback by some key figures on soundcloud. this track is the ultimate pre-lude for the summer. fortunately, this is being released just early enough to enjoy this during the european and northern american summer. with again beautiful vocals floating through the track, this track definitely reminds one of a hot day in the local park. the b2 track is called rolls royce. perfect as the last track of this release since its a long edit which ends with a very atmospheric piano solo that keeps on floating through the last few minutes of the track. all and all, these edits will definitely make some heads turn after the date of release. supported by: cosmic boogie, dicky trisco, the legendary 1979 orchestra, sleazy beats recordings, ben la desh, 78 edits, osvaldo wilson, mannmademusic, gitchell moore

the brilliantly monikered big strick - familial elder to omar s and responsible for the odd killer release on his younger cousins fxhe imprint - belatedly sates the appetite of record collectors keen to indulge in his recent album detroit heat with a six track selection of the choicest cuts spread across this twelve inch. seemingly drawing influence from a myriad of motor city influences, detroit heat impressively flits between murky deep house, tracky techno and hypnotic jack-tracks. like many of his contemporaries, strick is a sucker for cement mixer production - that distinctly detroitian sound where every beat, groove or bassline sounds like the master tapes have been marinated in grit. that trademark sound, alongside a solid selection of floor-friendly grooves, makes detroit heat an excellent addition to the motor city house canon. the rubbery spinal atmospherics of >under tone< and the tony coates vocally assisted jack of >maybe 1 day< are particular highlights!

encapsulating carolas approach to techno in both sound and title, groove catcher is the naples producer at his best, with a rolling bassline punctuated by a percussion pattern that teases out the funk of the track in carolas trademark style: pacey and direct, but with enough bounce and fluidity to fully snare the occupants of the dancefloor within its grip and make them do its bidding. fellow album cut, the method, which appears on the vinyl format only, is similarly insistent whilst lighter in tone - if groove catcher is best employed at the peak of a club set, then the method is its daytime terrace equivalent. leading the ep will be the rework of groove catcher by martin buttrich, with the german producer lending the considerable talents that have led to releases on poker flat and cocoon recordings - as well as his recruitment behind the mixing desk for timo maas and loco dice - to a pair of remixes that transform the original into a different beast entirely. remix a mutates groove catcher into something monstrous and intimidating, bringing a different intensity to the track and injecting it with a heightened sense of danger.

once again another masterpiece from the dynamic reflection squad in your face! this time its from the uk monster voidloss. the title track acteon is already an oldy and paul felt in love with it a long time ago. it was already digital released in 2007, but we asked voidloss if he wanted to see this on pure gold as well... and of course he wanted that! so why dont we put up an whole ep with more dancefloor killers of this man? grovskopa is always capable of delivering good remixes and so he did. this time something a little bit different then what you expect, but with this track he shows us what an open mind he has on techno. rolling crunchy basslines and smooth pads bring this track in a perfect vibe to set the tone for the night. moment of total emptiness is a more deeper and hypnotic tune, but will definitely bang your head on the dancefloor. mr. a. paul is going for the rework and came up with a really great uplifting and oldschool touch. perfect tool to use in your dj sets! all n all a superior release by this uk studio wizard. lets pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. the scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come.. dynamic reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

the something vinyl series continues this time with seductive house tunes and deep moments for the dancefloor and places beyond. five tracks and four bonus loops makes this the next typical warm vibrating something record, you have probably already expected. as the title suggests, its not a perfect clean and faultless production. there is the dirt and a sound inhabitant, for what stl records are well known for. experimentations in the worlds of hardware based tone generators and at the limits of analog signal processors. the tracks also deliberately dispense much static computer arrangements and were recorded mostly in live sessions to capture the actual feeling for each song. every being is a universe of its own, with all it s known and unknown places. there are mistakes and inner strangers which are made to learn and grow. this record is a recent snapshot from someones life, where the love for music and sound is maybe the most beautiful mystery!

two years ago, during a trip, i drove to a small place named putivl, near the town of konontop. there i realised how much i love ukraine. too many things in this land about history, secret past ... and i wanted to create a national hero vakula, as in the old ukranian fairy tales.

the titling for the second single taken from cari lekebuschs forthcoming album >state of the art<, continues in the horror tinged theme opening with the epic >bodysnatcher<, a nine and a half minute odyssey into the outer realms of rolling, glitchy techno. tight percussion and deep end bass set the tone for a fervent mix of resonant and modulated riffs and fx, exquisitely produced and deftly mixed this is another great example of lekebusch at his best.
the flipside of this release brings us the excellent >shivering<, a heady blend of oscillating bass and relentless synth lines over minimal drum patterns that has you hooked from the off. this is a big record that is bound to find favour with techno jocks and house djs alike with its perfect balance of dark and light.

house gift is a very energic house track with a spike of old school tone that does not leave you indifferent, all this with a set of very very efficient voices.
